Girl Gone Smart: The truth of "what about-ism" by Morgan White

As I spend my mornings browsing through various (un-filtered) news reports about the United States of America, I occasionally come across a post on social media I would have or could have written myself. But this one? Morgan White captures it all perfectly. The "what about-isms" from Trump supporters is just too much sometimes. In her own words - and she does her homework - like we all should. - HF

"Here is why Trump keeps coming up in the Epstein emails since some of y'all are pretending to be confused.

Every time this topic comes up, people jump straight to:

  • “What about this person”

  • “What about that person”

  • “What about the others”

Two main points:

Reason one: Out of the 2,324 recovered email threads, Trump’s name shows up in 1,670 of them. That is seventy two percent. That is not normal. That is not a coincidence. That is not a little number you can shrug off. His name shows up more than literally anyone else.

Reason two: He is the President of the United States of America. When a sitting president is mentioned in over half of Epstein’s communication, the country has a right to look at that. Point blank. Common sense.

People can “what about” all day long, and yes, most of us agree every single person involved should be held accountable. All of them.

But pretending it’s weird or unfair that people are asking why the sitting President’s name appears in seventy percent of Epstein’s email threads is just not realistic.

If that still confuses you, that is not a research problem. That is a denial problem.

The math is screaming. The facts are screaming. Y'all just cover your ears because the truth is inconvenient."

Thank you, Morgan, for allowing me to share your words. For everyone else, give her a follow on Facebook at Morgan White.
